i spun the fan on both of my 2012 RR. One is super bad. I have looked for a procedure just on the RR full size but have not found it. I want to do it myself as I have spent nearly $4k in last month on repairs.

i need to know tools and was thinking of buying the aftermarket fan on roverparts LR112861

 

Just took the fan and clutch off of my 2011 full-sized RR with a 5.0. Not too bad. It takes a big 36MM wrench to loosen the clutch. I believe that it was a left-handed thread so it turned clockwise to loosen. I put the open end of the big wrench on the fan clutch, and hit the wrench with a heavy plastic faced dead blow hammer. Loosened immediately. Fortunately, the belt was tight enough that it held the pulley while I loosened the clutch. The bigger hassle was getting the fan shroud off, One of the Atlantic British videos shows the shroud on a LR4 as a two piece affair, but mine isn't so it all has to come off. When I finally got all of fasteners loose, I was able to remove the fan, fan clutch and shroud all together.
