Identify pipe 5.0 SC

I just rebuilt this engine. There is a pipe at the back with an O ring on it. Anyone know what it is or what it should connect to? Surely it shouldn't just be open like this?

The pipe is for cabin acoustics. On some models, I suspect on the Jags, a hose runs from the pipe to the firewall to add engine noise to the cabin. It can be left open.
