Default New Guy-Trying to Save a RR Supercharged

Alright-so I'm going to get the apology out of the way up front. Live in Alaska and came across a 2011 RR Superchaged that has sat for several years due to originally the timing chains, but now who knows. Interior is amazing, exterior is dirty but straight, and overall seems to have had a decent life before the guides broke (I can turn the crank and hear something in the timing cover). Looking for any advice on the tasks below as I am shooting from the hip here. Basically remember back in the day how sweet these cars were (MSRP was around $100K new) but way out of my reach. Got a little playing money now, the family loves the car just have to get it running.

First issue I am working through is the key is not being recognized-the guy let it sit for a couple years with no battery. Put a new battery in it and still not reconnecting. I've seen several posts about different ways to get this to reconnect, but also seen a lot of different opinions and options. Anyone walked through this specifically on the L322??

As I start working on it I would like to any other preventative upgrades as I tear it apart to do the timing chains/guides. Open to suggestions about specifics to buy (links are helpful). Planned or ordering the timing kit/tools from Atlantic British-open to other thoughts. Other builds I would normally replace the water pump/oil pump with the cover being off-but if RR are good and no reason than great!!

Looking forward to this project and excited about keeping a cool car on the road. I get it, it may not be the most cost effective thing, but for a guy who picked it up for $1500 with a clean title, loves a good project (not body work-that sucks), and can remember when these were the cars that all the "rich" people drove I am up for the challenge.
