Default Range Rover 2010 tranfer case leak

Hi,

I'm new to the land rover world ...

I just noticed a small leak from the tranfer case of my 2010 Range Rover HSE. It's probably a drop every few days. Looks like the leak is coming from the seal between two halfs of the case. I've already tightened the torx bolts and it helps but there is still some oil getting through.

I've seen from other posts that Blue Devil Oil Stop Leak has been used with much success on LR2 and older rovers, but haven't found any posts specifically for my vehicle which has a Magna Steyr DD295 tranfer case, with Shell TF 0753 oil.

Does anybody know if Blue Devil Oil Stop Leak will be harmful for my transfer case? How much would I need to put in? Any other recommendations for stopping the leak?

Does anybody have experience with this? I really appreciate your feedback.

Generally you would pour an entire bottle in. I wouldn't recommend it personally. Best way to fix it, is to drop the t-case and replace the leaking seal. That's the only long term fix.
