Default Range Rover HSE 2003 (a pain in da azz)

My RR has been sitting stationary ALL SUMMER due to no start. Today finally, I got it to crank by bypassing the starter relay located under the hood behind the battery. Its not completely turning over unfortunately. I'm leaning towards bypassing this fuel pump module, but why cant I just got after the source? I think it has something to do with the theft system. Before the truck started to crank, whenever the key was turned all they way to try and start it, the front L.E.D. would flash. For about 3-5 secs. What does that mean? And also, under my hood, on both sides of the engine they're are two compartments. They're loaded with orange, brown, red, green wires tagged with little BMW boxes. What is that? Any suggestions or Advice? And please bare with me, I new to this lol. I'd really appreciate help. Thanks
