2018 Land rover Transmission
I bought a 2018 Land Rover and want to drain the transmission fluid for this:

I am wondering what does "8 speed 8HP45 Total Fill 9 quarts" mean. 9 quarts is total after a complete flush. isn't there a different way of changing the transmission without a complete flush. Sorry for the questions, a friend who has a garage for hobby cars has tons of tools and will help me change it. Also wondering do I need any additional or special tools?
