left rear code for an ABS wheel speed sensor. Replaced the sensor with genuine Bosch part cleared the codes but now this pops up. P0501-86 (2F). Vehicle speed sensor A range performance. Bus Signal message failure. Im disconnecting the neg battery terminal and hoping that helps. Using GAP 2 tool. The other codes are cleared.

 

Did this message appear after changing your brake pads or did it just appear randomly?

 

Randomly. Just driving along and Christmas tree lights and lowered itself.. Had this happen on my LR3 with the ABS wheel speed sensor and the new sensor cleared all the codes. This one is deeper than what i can do with the Gap Tool. It may be a sticking caliper, I don’t know.

 

Have you checked the battery and the ground? If your battery is weak, it can throw out all kinds of codes. Same if the ground is loose or corroded. If your battery is old, time to replace it.
