Refreshed the grill to help the front end look a little less sad

Chasing issues under the dash for the vacuum line for the cruise and passenger blower motor. Fixed the vacuum leak but still no joy on the cruise control and the blower motor is good but for some reason the control unit pulls the power as soon as the fan is hooked up.

The work around has promise in my mind

I finally built up the courage to swap out the battery. I will admit I hooked the jump pack up to the cables and the truck never lost power while the swap happened just out of pure P38 paranoia

The fantastic news is that it did restart

So I took it for a nice long drive through the countryside and enjoyed the Rover

Then I started working on all the light warnings. I still get the number plate as all I had were LED Bulbs on hand for that, and the front right marker as its disconnected. It stays on no matter what when the truck is shut off

I was terrified the first time I disconnected the battery. I’ve done it lots of times since. All I need to do is put in the radio code, and then any stations I have preset, then cycle each window to reset the auto up/down.

After I swapped the battery I decided it was time to fancy up the underhood experience lol

I don’t recall ever having seen one of those in real life.

I got the TCM swapped out and that unfortunately didn’t sort the no torque converter lock up. I did notice that the sport button makes the truck pretty undriveable though so I may have something to look into there who knows

I think that button is part of the shifter surround may have to see about messing with that

I swapped in another shift indicator assembly with the sport button no change sport mode still seams to make the truck worse. So much progress on the P38 and I got lazy on posting about it in here. We are about a month from RoverBall so I need to button up a bunch of things

So It was time to start dealing with the door open alarm on the drivers door.

Got it opened up and I think we were the first people to ever open this door up

While I may have opened it up it was successful and

Did you ever try rapidradiocodes.co.uk They advertise £5. I haven’t tried them myself but their reviews are good.
