Default Low Emissions compared to standard emissions, Differences?

Might need to replace my 2000 Range Rover engine and learned it is a "low emissions" engine. Apparently, there is a "standard" emission and a "Low" emission. Can someone tell me what the difference is between the two?

Thanks Gentlemen

I can’t remember where, but I recently read another post about a low emission engine (maybe you on another forum). Otherwise I’ve never heard of it. I don’t think you need to replace it with another low emission one.
