Default P38 Alternator Charging Voltage 14.8v

Hi all,
If an alternator was made to deliver 14.8v, will it affect/deteriorate/malfunction/destroy the P48 Instrumentation and functions?
An open debate. Hope to hear all reasons and suggestions.

From my somewhat limited understanding, yes. You can over charge your battery. The good news is that you can probably just replace the voltage regulator for one with a different set point.
