Default BCM issues?

Hi all,

Apologies if this been posted before, but I did search around before posting, and had no luck.

I am having some electrical issues with my 2008 Range Rover Sport HSE. Everything seemed to be working fine until I had a battery drain. New battery fitted, and now I'm having some electrical faults which are being extremely persistent.
1. Both keys I have are still working in the ignition, but neither fob does anything with the remote (ie locking or unlocking doors etc).
2. Message center says all 4 doors are open, as well as the tailgate. This continues from the time I turn the key and remains while driving. And, because the tailgate thinks it's open I guess, the tailgate release does not work (neither the window nor the full gate) so I can't open the trunk at all right now.
3. Message center displays Park Brake Fault. The park brake itself engages and disengages fine, but the fault remains.
4. HDC inactive as well as the red hdc and suspension symbol on the dash. Ride height control and terrain response inactive.
5. Front windows (both) and sunroof not working.
6. All interior lights on all the time.

Worth mentioning this all happened when I loaned the car to a friend, so I'm not exactly sure how the battery ran down. I have another friend who is a locksmith, and he had a go a reprogramming the key fobs, but could not get any communication with the module. All error codes are with the BCM and dynamic control module indicating "loss of communication". All the entertainment systems, navigation etc are operating fine, as well as central locking from the button in the vehicle.

I have come across something similar on a BMW X5 before, with most but not all of these symptoms, and it turned out to be a failed BCM, which I replaced and it solved the problem. Has anyone come across this on a RR Sport before? Is it likely to be the BCM needing a reflash or debug, or replaced? Coincidentally, before this started happening on mine, we went and viewed another one at a dealer (potential for the wife), and it had these exact same symptoms, all of them!

Any ideas would be extremely appreciated!

Couple of things I forgot to mention on that list of electronics playing up.

Driver side seat adjustments - although these work for a few seconds after switching off, but not while engine is running.

Side lights and rear wiper.

Steering is very heavy, especially at low speeds.

Again, anyone able to point me in the right direction or confirm BCM, or has experienced this before, please do respond!
