Confused with info about calipers!!
Hi everyone!!
I went into my garage to get some new brake pads fitted, as light on dash has come on.
Was told earlier, they couldn't fit the fronts as I need a new caliper. I was getting new pads all round, as do look after my little vroom!! After reading up, I thought ok, change both caliper sides and started looking for the parts.
I have spent hours looking, emailing etc and have soooo many different answers, I honestly have no idea at all now. Certainly not as easy as getting brake pads!!
I have a 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE. It's a 3L TDV6.
I know it's on the changeover year, but I have got 5 different answers from 5 sellers regarding what parts I need.
I'm sure it's classed as an L320, and this goes up to 2012(I could be totally wrong though!). I have tried to find the original part number, to no avail as brain too scrambled. I think it's OE parts LR010394+5.
But a couple of sellers are saying it's LR047905+6.
One seller advertised as a caliper pair being ok for a 2010 sport, when I checked they say no and said I needed one that's double the price.Another tried telling me I needed ones for a sport 2014 and onwards. Yes I'm not that great with parts, but Google usually is my friend. Asking shops that sells them certainly hasn't helped either.
Any advice as to what I actually have, part numbers I need etc would be great. I haven't got the uprated brakes, just the factory fitted ones. I am trying to put ceramic brake pads on it, but garage threw me this loop now.
Sorry if this has been answered before, I have tried searching. But the brain cells have been fried by something I thought would be simpler, like giving them my registration number :-((
Thank in advance
