Hi, I have a 2012 RRS SC. It is wired for towing with 4-pin and 7-pin sockets. I understand that the TTM needs to be enabled before the car will recognize when a 7-pin socket is plugged in and activate the trailer braking signal in the 7-pin socket. ( I am planning on renting an RV trailer in the fall for a couple of weeks)
Anyone know if there is an easy way to check if the TTM has been enabled? I will buy an ODBII scanner, but can't get a straight answer on whether a basic scanner will allow you read and enable/disable TTM status I don't want to buy the ~$1,500 software application to do it, either. I guess I can always take it to a LR dealer (but they'll charge $200 just to touch your car key!)
