(TItle Error - vs 2023 Evoque is Correct)
Hope this thread meets the group standards. I'm an owner of the 2014 Range Rover Sport Supercharged V8 5 liter Autobiography edition, i.e, loaded. (Apparently the new 2024 Range Rover Sport SV V8 has sold out at the price of 171,000 pounds!)
I took the RRS in for routine maintenance, and the LR dealer gave me a 2023 Evoque as a loaner. Surprisingly from a driving perspective, I like my ten-year old RRS better that the 2023 Evoque. I"m talking about how it drives, not the difference in size. The RRS simply handles better, even at its age. The Evoque accelerates with jerks in the transmission shift when you floor the accelerator. It's also noisier at speed. Also the climate control and interior comfort on the RRS is better. The only thing the Evoque is better at (of course) is the electronic dash interfaces, which as we know can be overcome with aftermarket upgrades. Personally, I don't mind the old RRS touchscreen enough to spend $ on a new screen. With regard to sound system, the Evoque did have the Meridian upgrade. However without question the sound system in my RRS is still much better.
So, this is just a note to share my observations, and to trumpet that the 2014 RRS Supercharged V8 is still a Supercar, even as it hits its 10th year. Nothing I've driven compares to it.
