Exclamation L494 Tire Pressure sensor (TPMS) Question

Hey guys, i was wondering if there is any special way to install tire pressure sensors on the L494. I have a dead drivers side tire pressure sensor and i have purchased a new one online. Does the tire pressure sensor just get installed and automatically show up on the car's computer? Or does there have to be reprogramming done? Any thoughts? Please help. Thanks!!

So i just had the tire sensor installed and drove the car for about a mile or two. Error message is still on the dashboard. Is there any specific amount of driving i should be doing? Maybe something else is wrong/broken?

thanks, but my sensor is not automatically getting noticed by the computer after driving. Im guessing my sensor is defective? It is an aftermarket one for range rovers, but i highly doubt it since its new. Could the problem be something else? Maybe the tire sensor module? The dashboard is still able to show tire pressures for the other tires, just not the drivers wheel. How would i be able to find out? Thanks so much!!

The one you posted does not appear aftermarket. What exactly did you get? Your pick-up antenna thing could be bad/disconnected.

Some aftermarket sensors need programmed and some are plug and play. Some of the 'plug and play' sensors still need "activated". There is also a 315 Mhz and a 433 Mhz. They are not interchangeable. Its important to know what you got.
