Default Low Tire Pressure Sensor

It's gotten cold here (30's and below) and my tire sensor stays on although the pressure is good. Anyone else have this problem?

It's an '08 LR SE.

Have the same problem w/ the pressure warning light. Can't get it to turn off. Try disconnecting the battery but eventually comes back on again. Did check the spare tire but problem persist. Any idea?

36/42 if it comes on and its not down then its an issue that needs to be resolved.

oh and we don't cover sensors broken by tire shops.

My wife and I just purchased a 2006 LR3 SE yesterday in Austin. It has been quite cold here in central Texas the past month. The dealer explained to us that we would see the low tire pressure light on but to not be concerned. These were brand new tires (verified by the independent mechanic's report we had). According to the dealer, the sensor is rudimentary because it does not account for the effects of outside temperature on the elasticity and density of the tire materials which in turn has an effect on the air pressure within the tires. He explained that I should make sure with a manual tire gauge when we got home that the tires are at 32 psi. If they were (and they are), then there was nothing to be worried about.

Complete bull****, if the tire light is on check it, if its on when its cold it will be on all the time unless you drive alot. Fill it anyway and if it doesn't go off with the vehicle on and then turned on and driven three miles take it back to the dealer.

Yes. This morning when i turned on my LR3 the tire pressure signal was light on the dash. I'm going to check the pressure tonight after work at my local garage. If one tire is lower i'll put in air and see if that solves the problem.

I went down to the local Hess station. FREE AIR. and put in air with the LR3 running. After about 15second of putting in air the sensor light went out. Simple fix.
