I'm occasionally getting a low coolant level indication on my dash. It sometimes appears when I start the engine, sometimes not. Sometimes it appears when I'm at highway speed on cruise control. I'm not due for service for another couple thousand miles and am enquiring as to whether I should simply add some coolant or perhaps try to get my service scheduled early. If I add some coolant, is there a specific type/brand I should use? Thanks mucho.

 

Opened the hood, checked the reservoir and it was low. Filled it up to full and all is well.
