Default No Heat

I was told I need an auxiliary pre-heater for my 2016 Rage Rover Sport and 6 hours of labor to install. I live in Florida so heat is not a big issue buy does anyone have any advise on how to correct this issue without taking a 2nd mortgage out on my home?

Any input would be appreciated and Happy Holidays.

Did heat work when you first got the car? Have you done any work on the cooling system? I can't see why a pre-heater would be necessary but without checking the service manual I can't say for sure. Other things can lead to no heat, for example, blend motors that have failed in the cold position.

We've had the Rover for 6 years and got it with 60,000 miles. It has 147k onit now and have not tried the heat until a couple years ago. Didn't work then and still doesn't work now.

The Blend doors seem to work with the A/C on as all directions change when the buttons are pressed. Can they stick with just the Heat on?

Appreciate the input.
