Default Range Rover Sport 2020 to 2022 Reliability and Warranty

Hi,

I am interested in buying a Range Rover Sport model year that would be somewhere between 2020 to 2022.

My concern is general reliability so I'm interested in people's real world experiences to understand if I should be concerned, what type of issues occurred and what was handled under warranty or not.

I'm also interested in understanding what exactly is covered under warranty and if there is less cover if you extend the warranty.

Say I experienced an issue that was within the 3 year manufacturer warranty, like the engine went, would the replacement be covered?

If I paid to extend the warranty for an additional 2 years to cover up to 5 years, would I receive the same cover as if it's the initial manufacturer warranty or not?

Many thanks

I purchased a 2020 CPO Range Rover Sport HSE in September of 2022. There is still some of the factory warranty left; and we also paid for an extended warranty. It's my understanding that the warranty follows the vehicle, meaning if you're the second, third etc owner, and the engine fails you're covered. Best of luck. I love mine.

Thanks for your response David.

My question was more about what's covered with the manufacturer's warranty and what changes coverage wise if you then purchase an extended warranty.

I think from what I understand, you have a lot more coverage with the 3 year manufacturer warranty.

If the engine went in the first 3 years I assume this would be replaced for free? but if this happens in years 4 or 5 with the extended warranty I'm not sure that this is covered?

Many thanks
