Coolant

Coolant
Hello, I flushed the radiator on our 2019 Velar while on vacation and the mechanic used Valvoline Zerex G40 which is an Si-OAT coolant (I guess that means with silicates). I spoke with Valvoline twice and got two different answers. One was that's what is recommended after 2013 and the other said I should use G30. I called Range Rover and they told me "Range Rover" Coolant. I understand they want me to use Range Rover but I was no where near a dealer. I don't speak "Coolant" so can anyone help me out who does and let me know if it's ok to run this type coolant or if I should flush it out? I appreciate the help in advance.

You can use ANY coolant that meets the following JLR spec: STJLR.651.5003
For example Fuchs Fricofin LL meets that specification.
Silicates formulas can attack certain seals and pumps.
So your choice is use the factory coolant which is easily ordered online, or an aftermarket coolant which meets our specification.
Hope this helps!
