I am not kidding, i really will sell you my 92 Defender 110 for 5 bucks. but there is a catch, i want it back.
so here is the deal. when i was stationed in bahrain, i found and bought a 1992 Defender 110 pickup. i wasnt able to take it home to the states, so i had it shipped to Montreal with the intention of importing it. after importing it to Canada i was going to wait the five years and then import it to the US. but i ran in to the roadblock of not being a canadian citizen. so now i am asking if somebody wants to buy it for just a few dollars, and help me get it imported. but once its all said and done i want to buy it back for the same price i sold it. most, if not all, of the import paperwork will be done by a broker. i am not sure if they will handle the registration as well.

2. Whats in it for the Canadian citizen you seek to help facilitate this deal?

 

I'm no lawyer, but I do hire them from time to time. IMHO anyone trying this would want to check all the angles, would not want legal problems to find their way to the door of the helpful Canadian. And if all that is needed is a Canadian, what would be wrong with owner contacting a Canadian attorney? They have ambulance chasers in Ottawa....

 

Its a scam if I ever heard one. Any time I post a car for sale on Crags List I get about a dozen of these emails each day.

 

He's certainly been at it awhile, he had a thread he posted about a month or two back on LRO with the same story.

 

You have 2 options at this point. Get a 1993 110 which is legal for import, or take the engine out and import it as parts (you can also import the engine separately as parts but that is still illegal and the resulting vehicle once put back together is still illegal to drive on public roadways)
