2003 Discovery II HSE

This is my wife's beloved Disco, but it's time to let her go (the truck).

Ok, the bottom line...this truck has pluses and minuses. It's a Discovery afterall.

Pluses:

HSE Model
Low Miles (93,445)
Important note, a brand new engine was installed under warranty by Land Rover at 26,000 miles, so the engine has only 67,000 miles on it.
Coil Spring Conversion
Dash and all instruments in excellent condition.
Interior in good overall condition.
Exterior in good overall condition.

Known problems...

Interior:
Driver's seat worn, e-brake sleeve worn and head liner is detached-sagging in some areas.
Rear cargo area has some scratches and wear.
Entertainment system (rear tv's) not operating.
Driver's side visor has a broken clip.

Exterior:
Front bumper cover damage.
Right rear window plastic frame damage.
Small dent (3") at rear left corner.
Paint is in good shape, but needs buffing.

Engine:
Crank angle sensor needs replacing (stalls when warm).
Steering pump needs replacing.
Oil leak.

We are all about full disclosure. We encourage you to have a mechanic check her out. If you are educated about Discovery II's, you know about their amazing abilities, strengths and faults.

This one is ready for a little extra love and a few specialty parts for venturing way off-road.

Enthusiasts looking for a solid Disco HSE to upgrade should inquire.

I am interested, but I am on the east coast so it probably is a better situation for a west coast guy as I would have another $500-750 in to getting it back to the east coast. I will start doing my homework on what it would cost/take, and maybe contacting another forum member to come by and check it out. In the meantime can you post some pics of the defects mentioned - front bumper, drivers seat, etc.

Also note...the electric lock mechanisms are faulty on three doors (don't unlock/pop-up, but the interior levers do unlock/open the doors).
