If you're looking for the perfect Discovery, this is it. Over 15k in preventative maintenance over the last two years by Rover certified techs. Semi-daily driven in Buckhead and always garage kept. This has been in the family for over a decade and treated like a family member. Although it's been built as a full trail-driver, the only off roading this Rover has done is around the horse barn. Over the last two years, this Rover has received a full trail treatment from Rovers North. All parts were bought new in 2018 Modifications include:
-ARB Sahara Bar with Space for Winch
-Heavy Duty Steering Rod Set
-Bilstein Steering Stabilizer
-Terrafirma Front and Rear Differential Guards
-Old Man Emu Suspension Kit w/ 2.5 inch lift. (This was the heavy duty option which allows for more than 1000 more pounds of weight. This means it's completely overland/expedition ready.)
-Rovers North Heavy Duty Rear bumper with Shackles
-Baja XLR 80 Driving Lights mounted to the front bumper ($800 retail with factory warranty)
-Tuf-Rok USB adapter fit into the rear center console to sit flush as if OEM
-Tuf-Rok Front Cubby Safe-Fits into the center console and is hidden under the lid as a full safe mounted in the Rover
-Tuf-Rok Rear Storage Shelf with clearance for boots or a number of other items.
-Bluetooth Enabled OEM head unit for phone calls and music capability. This maintains the clean factory image of the interior but allows modern functionality.
The BF Goodrich K02's have less than 1000 miles on them and the fifth tire is a brand new spare.
Most Recent Maintenance:
-Engine: New Mounts, New seals, all new rubber gaskets (Heads, valve covers, and intake manifold gaskets)
Motor inspected at that time, this was Feb of 18.
Also in Feb of 18, All new Power steering components, pump, lines, hoses, reservoir
Timing Chain replaced along with chain cover, water pump, and all related gaskets.
Inspection of gears, etc in the process got good remarks.
-Drivetrain
April of 18
New HD prop-shafts installed from Rovers North. Upon installation, diffs, transfer case, and linkages were all checked by reputable Rover shop in Atlanta. Everything came back as a perfect score.
This Rover does not leak anything. It's been perfectly maintained by a specialty Rover shop. Everything works as it should. Air Conditioning is as cold as it was new, heat works equally as well. Both Sun roofs tilt and slide perfectly. Please contact me with any questions. Bitcoin is accepted.
I will add more photos this week. Apologies for not having more.

Clean well cared for D2's are becoming a rare site these days. I expect examples like the one above to fetch that amount when all the clunkers have been parted out and crushed leaving just well cared for units around. It'll be supply and demand just like a clean RRC/D1. You rarely ever see them pop up for sale and when you do they are 10K and up easy.
I have a near flawless 04 with a mint interior, very clean exterior, all original inside, and under the hood. I wouldn't let it go for anything less than 7-8K. It's mechanically/electrically sound, lifted, ARB, good tires, and needs nothing. 500.00 to 3K D2's are out there, but expect to dump another 3-5K into them just to fix basic stuff, and that doesn't even count modifications.
GLWTS and anyone new to LR's that doesn't want to restore or send it straight to a shop to be repaired would be perfect for a LR like that. Buy it & enjoy it.
Good point, you either buy something already upgraded, or get a cheaper one and make it "yours". However, getting back what you put into a car is virtually impossible. As for supply/demand with over 35,000 vehicles produced in 2004 alone, they probably will not reach that RRC status.
