2011 Land Rover LR4 HSE LOADED
Price is negotiable
Only 69,XXX Miles. 5.0 V8
You will not find a cleaner LR4 anywhere! You might find one as clean as this, but you won't find one cleanER than this!! It's garage kept and driven by my wife.
THE PROBLEM: it has a blown motor even though it has brand new heads (main bearing spun I was told). This would be an outstanding car for someone that wrecked thiers, but still has a good motor as the car is spotless and went down the road like brand new when it happened!!
Good brakes, transmission, you name if, it's all maintained-just needs a short block motor!
Stornaway Grey with immaculate black leather interior all around.
I love this car. I wish we could keep it; I digress.
No Accidents. No other Mechanical issues.
It has newer brakes, brake fluid was flushed. Tires are good - and everything works perfect! It has all the bells and whistles, loaded. Immaculately maintained and serviced Drove incredibly well.
Features include:
HSE package!!
Adjustable ride height at the push of a button (my vertically challenged wife loves lowering the car for loading/unloading it!)
GPS navigation
Bluetooth
Leather heated seats
Heated Steering Wheel
Rain sensing wipers
3rd-row seating (7 passenger)
Rear A/C controls
Sirius satellite radio
Rubberized "Land Rover" floor mats and Rear Rubberized Cargo holder (also includes the original carpet floor mats)
Parking sensors
Rear camera
There is absolutely no known previous paint or collision work present on this vehicle. It is 100% accident free and factory original with Clean CarFax.
Given the cost for the engine repair this is worth sub $10K.
A fully functioning HSE LUX, that is actually loaded, with around 75K sell for around $20K.
A motor from the scrap yard is 8K, with similar mileage, plus labor to install. If you do it yourself, there is still another $500-1K in perishables that should be addressed.
If you have LR do the repair it's a $20K+ endeavour.
You may be better off parting it out, given the absorbent cost to repair/replace an engine on these.
Thanks for the detailed reply. What a huge loss for us! I could talk to the wife but we would probably let it go for $10,000. It stinks because it’s beautiful!!
The mechanic said it spun a main bearing. I’m not a mechanic and don’t know what that means. The oil and coolant were new as we just had that done a little bit prior.
If jagurdocs numbers are right, the trucks value is going to be way less than $10k. My guess would be around 2-4k if you find a lr enthusiast that is up for an engine rebuild. Glws

This is why I said sub 10K.
To the right person and if the vehicle was pristine, and was a HSE LUX maybe a little over $10K.
it is going to be tough to find a buyer, with such a high engine replacement cost.
Just looking on LKQ real quick, the cheapest 5.0l V8 JLR they have is $8900.
