Default 97 Disco SD with all records since new.

This is an immaculate 2 owner Willow Green 1997 Landrover Discovery SD. It has high miles (235k) but I would trust it to drive anywhere. A Dr owned it prior to my wife and I. The Dr. drove it from Carmel to Ft. Wayne everyday. My wife drives it 45 miles daily. With these records and its condition, I would expect it to go another 200k+. No issues, everything works as it should. Paint is 9/10, interior is 10/10 (never smoked in), no rips, tears, or stains. Its a great example of what a D1 can do with the right owners.

Asking $3700 on my CL ad.
1997 Land Rover Discovery SD

We traded a BMW for it a few months ago and now my wife wants her Bimmer back... (I got her hooked on the stick shift)

With that said, I would love to trade it for another MT 4dr, 3 or 5 series Bimmer.
Her loss is your gain.

Still sounds pretty steep for a 97 base model with 235k i would be shocked to see it go another 200k without major overhaul. Especially since the vehicle was only 28k to 32k when brand new 15 years ago good luck on that.

Steep, I get that. KBB says it is worth $1645 at best. Edmunds: $1338.

We traded a $4k Bimmer for it. The Bimmer had some issues. We got this D1 for my wife to haul my kids around as a dependable daily driver. It has been just as such. Now my wife wants a 5spd again. So I'm hoping that the condition and records might persuade a Bimmer owner that wants a bigger vehicle to trade. -Like we did in the first place. The price is a long shot... But you never know with CL..

No offense was meant to LR enthusiasts.

Yea maybe you'll get a sucker on craigslist to fall for that but i am pretty sure you wont find that sucker on the member list of this forum. Most of the people on this forum do all there own work and know the ins and outs of these trucks, i have never ever heard of a regular gasoline land rover go 435k+ ever in my life without major engine failure and multiple problems. I think you would impress lots of us if yours did. Anyway i did not try to offend you in any way just a yeah probably wont find what your looking for here. Good luck though.
