Default Default for sale: Defender 110TDI, 1994, equipped for camping

You are looking for a camper, you will not only drive along the boring Pana-Americana, you will see places where less people are, you will find your road everywhere, you will drive a economic car (diesel), an powerful and never stopping engine (300TDI), you like the style of an 4x4 truck...
Then we have everything you want. A Defender 110, year 1994, mileage actual 180000km, Diesel fuel, totally equipped for camping with to persons.
we are a couple from Germany and traveling from Buenos Aires to the mid-west of the united states. Actually we are in Mexico. Our wonderful trip ends mid of June. We would like to sell our car around beginning of June some where in the mid-west of the united states. The car was totally technically rebuild and equipped for camping.
Problems: You know Land Rover?
the doors are a little bit rusty, at heavy rain some water comes in
we got an accident but only the body parts where damaged
I am engineer, the engine and the suspension and drive line are perfect.
Please have a look at these links and contact us if you are interested. We would like give our "Dicken" a new owner, who loves the style of traveling with this vehicle.

The trouble is being that its a 94 makes it difficult to register in the US due to the 25 year import rule.

Hi,
this ist not a scam, we are just a couple, trevelling through America who now have to sell the car, as our trip is over. Unfortunately we are not able to take our car with us back to germany, because we don¨t have the money to shio it over. As I am not an american citizen, I don¨t know about the rules and laws you have there. If you know more, please let me know. What is the 25 year import rule? Just don¨t say, that I am trying to scam anyone, because I AM NOT.

Besides, we sell the car with the license plate and alll the paperwork from germany. If anyone needs the car just for trevelling, he doesn¨t have to register it in the US.

here are two links, one list I found i the internet:
http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/
http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/elig100111.pdf
please check out: Defender 90 build 1994 could be imported why not a 110 is the same car. But please check seriously we will not scam anyone. We would only sell the car we love to someone you like the style and way to drive a Defender.

regards Claus and Agnes

sounds like a fun journey, I'm assuming you already have the vehicle in the US? What paperwork was used to import this vehicle? Is it legal to be here right now in it's current form? Is it currently licensed in the US?

They started in Argentina from what it looks like. It will have out of country plates. You will have to do all the paperwork to get it titled and registered in the US, including, but not limited to dealing with Customs. It is legal to be here in it's current form because it is registered out of the US.

It may not be legal to register it in the States but it is legal for import into Canada (only 15 years).
