I just took this off an '04 DII that I'll be stripping. The radio works fine, the display is clear and all the backlighting works. The best part of all is that this radio was modified by Roverville and there is a 3.5mm mini jack installed on the face of the radio for a smart phone, iPod, ect. I tested it and it worked with my phone. Maybe not as elegant as bluetooth but unless you're bluetooth is APTX the jack is going to sound better.

The Land Rover part number for the radio is XQD000340PUY and is out of an '04 DII. This DII had the premium HK system installed. That means you'll need an amplifier in your DII in order for this to work. It will work with the CD changer that was usually included in this system.

How do you select the aux input?

 

As soon as you plug the mini jack in it overrides whatever was playing on the radio and immediately cuts to your smartphone. The jack can be seen better in this photo.
