Hi guys first post on this forum! So as the title says, I'm having issues with my front seats. To be honest I didnt check the seats at first because they were working fine.
A few things to know beforehand:
- cigarette port works
- all windows are working properly
- I do not have heated seats
- drivers side seat gave out a month before the passenger side
Both no longer move and it started with the drivers side first, I checked the seat's fuse box and the 40amp fuse (Driver's side) completely blew and is currently melted and fused iinto the box itself (I'll put up pictures of driver and passenger side fuse boxes for comparison). I have another seat fusebox that I'm going to wire in to replace the old one. My question is what are the parts that I should look at and how should I test them, also what caused the fuse to melt into the box? This project had been put on the back burner for a while and I thought it would be best to start here first, I know a tiny bit about electrics and im not afraid of fixing the problem myself, I just dont know where to start.
