For Sale.
Was our daily driver from 2003 to 2012, until replaced by an LR3.
Was building for off roading but plans have changed, too many cars and not enough time. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. California car, No rust.
I am a Land Rover technician and have used genuine parts when ever possible. (including the rebuild)
Currently has 189K
1996 Discovery with a top hat liner 4.6, (has about 55K on it now) with ford 19lb injector upgrade, shortened intake runners and a little porting, recent genuine plugs, wires, D2 valve covers, fresh fluids all around, Replaced the transmission about 6 months ago with a 40K mile one from a 93 RR LWB with new kick down cable. using a low mileage D2 torque converter
Front brakes have been upgraded to RR Classic vented rotors with custom caliper spacers (copied from the RR ones.) in the last 12 months, Mintex front and rear brake pads, new genuine rear brake rotors
Rebuilt Discovery 2 double Cardon drive shaft with transfer box drive flange (done last month) and rear converted to regular u joint.
2" RTE lift springs, OME shocks, TJM winch bumper with a 12000lb mile marker winch (wired and working)
Hub adapters to fit D2/LR3 wheels, Currently has 265/60X18 on LR3 wheels, also have a set of 19" RR Sport wheels with 255/50X19 tyres (correct rolling radius for stock size) with hub centric rings.
Rear side and rear window glass seals replaced, drivers door latch,
D2 Headlights with Silverstar bulbs. D2 cup holders, D2 rear view mirror with compass,
D2 running boards, trailer wiring,
Flow master muffler,
JVC bluetooth stereo, (phone and music streaming) rewired speakers (pioneer) and a separate amp running a D2 HK rear sub (in door)
Has 7 seats with rear step and rear ladder.
Have a bunch of spare parts.
Known issues:
Headliner starting to get loose. paint on roof has clear coat peeling, T-Box weeps oil, looks like bondo cracking by the right rear tail light, (has been there since we bought the car)
