In any event. Take a look at what they cost new $400 or so. I will take $300 and include the shipping if you are in the US. It's heavy.

Hi Mike:
We bought our Disco (my wife drives it mostly) from the local dealer about 3 years ago...it was turned in off of a lease so I had good service records. I have kept up with them since. When we first bought it I had not been underneath it yet...but had begun to read forums like this...and gather excellent info thanks to posters like yourself! The "dry shaft" deal freaked me out.
However...my impatience lead me to buy the front prop shaft assuming I needed one. I didn't which was good....but now I have a spare!
I wrench a bit (mostly fluids, filters, and I even tightened the bolts to stop a minor leak!)...but am pretty limited beyond that. Getting better thanks to this site...but still not ready to do a HG job or some of the bigger stuff that would require more tools, space, and a smarter operator! HAHAHA
I have to tackle the "three amigos" some day when I am more comfortable and the Maine winter relents.
Keep up your fine work on this site...we appreciate it!

The Front Prop shaft is a new, pre-greased, in the box part. Not sure which band it is...can not id any markings. I got it from Autoparts Warehouse in Garden Grove, CA.
From what I can see for prices...mine is a most reasonable offer. I don't think it will fit his 00...looks like mostly 03-04's.
