i can weld up to an extent but dont want a thin chassis

Rovers North? Not cheap. Search larger chain "boneyards" that have on-line inventory? Few and far between. Craigs List? Dismantler, like Paul Grant? You find yourself planning business trips and vacations with new salvage yards to check out. Guess you could also email them a photo to check inventory. The hunt for a pile of posh pre-owned sheetmetal can become an addiction.
