I've got to give my two cents on this one: Samuel Smith Oatmeal porter and nut brown ale are the best! If its $2 pint night I go with Newcastle, if I'm broke I go with PBR, and I'm always up for the micros; Highland gaelic, Sweetwater, Abita, etc.

I went to Breckenridge Brewery's website the other day and they have all kinds of recipes for cooking with beer. I am going to use the last of the 6 pack of Vanilla Porter I bought to make a milkshake.

Here in the NW, we have more microbreweries than Starbucks it seems. I also brew my own, so I am partial to my pale ales.

As far as micros go, the Dead Guy from Rogue is really good. Their XS line is really good too. I also like just about anything Deschutes Brewery makes, Mirror Pond, Great Lakes, etc.

Damn, now I'm thirsty! Too bad I still at work.....c'mon Beer 30, I'm waiting.
