Not sure on the tank size but we do aprox 800km between fill ups on a 97 300Tdi
only get 500km from my MG but then it has a mustang engine in it

mine does great off road, and these new ones will have terrain response, so it'll be better than mine

 

we were invited to the dealership when the freelander 2 was officially launced and we had a test drive in the 2.2 td4, the weather was awfull, it was pourin down but the freelander 2 seemed so capable and it seemed very safe inside even at above 80mph on drenched roads it was acting like a hot summers day. interior is very nice as we werein the top spec HSE model but the interior on lesser models looks a bit.. weird
