Series motor oil type
for now i had some 10w/40 on the shelf since i'm only moving it around i don't see it as an issue, there was an oil filter in the canister but I was missing the special washer that sits on the spring under the filter cartridge, somehow in my horded hardware I had what appeared to be the correct washer, i'm sure it was from a shock stem or sway bar end link kit or something but it worked and fit just right lol
I personally use two different grades throughout the year as the temperatures change. A good friend of mine told me a while ago that you can use 10-40 all year long or If you plan on changing the oil seasonally, which is what I do, then use 20-50 between April-Sept (months above 30 degrees)
and use 10-30 in the cold months (oct-march). Good to find a brand that has a high lead content as they will extend your engine life. The best brands to use are Brad Penn or vavoline VR1. These brands have high lead content which is good for your valves and lifters.
Hope this helps.
Also make sure that for your transmission oil you use an sae 90 gl 4.
