Hello Roverers!
Remember that "mysterious bolt" that appeared on top the radiator cowl? ...well, just found out where it came from ...luckily!
For a while I've been listening to a high pitch noise, apparently from some front engine bearing, but never got a chance to figure it out, until today, while solving a 0308 issue ...I had to take out the plastic cover that protects the Compressor and one of the expander tubes fell off, so I had to take the radiator cowl out to get it... when I saw a hole in the middle of the Compressor, I jiggled the whole piece and clearly was loose, so I figured the bolt had to be the one to hold in place. Screwed it in ... and it fits like a glove ...so if it fits, it must be guilty! ...got it in, tightened it till the whole things spins, hopefully it will tighten more as it turns, otherwise I don't know how to tighten it even more.
So mystery solved, hopefully the turbine-like noise will go away.
Now back to the other issues! ;-]#

do you have a dealership close? They may have one, could get one, or at the least let you know what size of bolt it is.

If you have a Fastenal store near you, they would be the best place to get that bolt.
https://www.fastenal.com
They are my go to hardware store for bolts, nylocks and washers for my Disco.

...thanks JUKE179r for the tip, although I did get them from Advance Auto parts (spent no more than $4.30), but already searched for a FASTENAL store around here, and found one within the same distance of the AAP store, so will keep it in mind, thanks! ;-]#
