Magic cigarette lighter, no fuse! No power either... :(
Hello fellow LR sufferers
,
My 2000 Disco2 came with no owner manual, and no power at the cigarette lighter. A look at the fusebox shows no blown fuse, and none listed for the lighter. I looked thru the D2 service manual in pdf form, but found no joy.
I don't smoke, but my gps does need 12v. Anybody else BTDT (been there, done that) with their D2 and have a fix to offer? Else, I will have to tear into the dash this week before I need the gps on Saturday.

1. Didn't look in enough places, the pdf file of the RAVE includes workshop, owners, electrical, wirining diagrames, each as separate manual.
2. Here's the cigar lighter schematic with fuses listed.
3. Would suggest you look a RAVE download, pdf file, directory " L T"

Often times it's the connections at the cigar lighter. People tend to twist when removing plugs, the socket then turns and the connections get damaged. Generally it results in shorting out but not always.
Thanks for both of the tips, guys. My RAVE file contains some pointers to nonexistant remote files, so sending me the direct pdf is a big help.
From that pdf, I now know of the existence of a fusebox in the passenger compartment. That's a big tip!
