It seems like it's been years since I took the D2 out on an adventure. Super unimpressed with the BFG's on ice and packed snow. The inline stat was working great, I see much more consistent temperature ranges now, including sitting idling for 2 hours in 15 degree weather while the carnage from a slew of wrecks and spin outs was pulled away. It's always a sobering moment when the bodies are getting loaded into the ambulance

We've had the same discussion at work several times, plow guys hate them. They were intentionally driving along the curbs to wear the sidewalls out...just so they could get better tires for snow and ice.

Truck looks great! Glad you were able to get out and do some off-roading.

Brian.

Replaced passenger side exhaust manifold, removed SAI manifolds and all related tubing, finished washer bottle relocate and installed/painted my homemade bumper.

Was going to tackle the drivers window regulator...but ran out of gas. Getting old, sucks.

Aren't the KO2s winter rated? My work truck has some old BFG Rugged Trails, they're not bad, but not as good as the other truck with a proper winter. The 3/4 ton GMC with regular all seasons is absolutely worthless in snow.

Finally got the alternator installed last night and fired her up. Has some issues with the idling and not returning but with a little extra cleaning and adjustment to the return spring and throttle cable, she is purring like a kitten. Now I got a damn srs light on and the self leveling. It has been without a battery for almost 2 months so I'm gonna investigate further tommorow. Just glad to have her running again. I've got the coolant system bled pretty darn good but still checking it before start up to make sure it's where it needs to be and no air yet. That goofy as Land Rover thermostat is crazy. I got the 180 for the td5 on it and it seems to help better than the factory but only time will tell.

Default Snow!!

Got close to 2 feet of snow last night, blazed a trail down the mountain for every one that does not have a Land Rover. Really digging the 4 low!! Might take pictures but, internet is spotty as we have trees and power lines down

Phone memory low? We don't mind waiting if just a network issue.

They are winter rated "M & S" but the compound feels too hard. So far they've been good in deeper snow and mud but I slide all over the place in ice. I don't have the same problem on my cars running Duratracs.

Best by far is my D1 on studded iPike's, with the Classic running Blizzaks a close second.
