I fixed the broken door lock pin in my Disco II, wasn't too bad, but I wish I'd gotten it done before my car had been gone through by thieves.

Ran a (new) dual coax line from front to rear, improving upon the previous set up.

I learned today not to trust the OBDII app UltraGauge when it comes to the Disco's fuel level.
It showed I had 1.89 gallons until empty but my Disco's engine died from thirst.

I also learned from the app that I really need to complete the thermostat mod. Last week I got a reading of 217 degrees at idle at 70 degrees ambient temp.

Yeah, you probably know the fuel level is an estimate not a direct read from the fuel gauge sender.

What are your cruising temps? If they're "okay," depending on what thermostat is installed, the problem is more likely the fan clutch. Remember the thermostat controls the low end of operating temps, not the high end.

I learned yesterday there is a "Calibrate" option for the fuel level when the tank is full and empty. I'll try that next time.

My cruising temps are @ 209 degrees .
I bought a 180 degree thermostat with the soft spring but I'm waiting to receive a Hayden #2781 fan clutch, a Dorman #620-112 fan assembly and the fabricated metal T-connector for the top coolant hoses.
I should have just went for the thermostat mod.

You have normal temps for a stock thermostat.

That would be awesome. My parts list keeps getting longer. I'll shoot you a text tomorrow.
