Well I got them installed today! 285/75r16 Fallen AT3Ws. They look great and seem to ride quite well. I measured the treads with a tape measure and tread width was 9.25". IMO they're perfect, and they don't feel any more sluggish than the 265/65r18s which, after measuring, appeared to be 30.5" with a 9" tread width; nearly the same width as the 285s.

I'll try to get a picture or two up tomorrow and I'll stay posted on gas mileage changes! I was getting 12-12.5mpg with the Cooper's.

These are heavy. They weighed in at 80lbs each after mount and balance. I'll weigh one of the old Cooper's on the 18" rim to compare. They've definitely got some gravity in them.

Picture time!

First, I weighed one of the old worn out Cooper's and they're 70lbs rim and tire. The Falkens are 10lbs more. Honestly I don't think that's all that bad considering I went from an LT tire to a 10 ply e load tire, plus the additional tread.

Anywho, here are the pictures! I threw in one to show the tire clearance on the spare, too. I have my tire carrier flipped. As you can see there is no gap, but it's not pushing up on it either. It's a perfect fit.
