Stalling, shifting bad when cold... :(
Greetings All!
I have an issue with my 2012 v8 LR4 thats the dealer cant figure out.....
Car hesitates/rough shifting in lower gears when cold. When fully warmed up (30min drive) it behaves normally. Its gets worse the colder it is outside.
This was my original complaint at the dealer. They found nothing wrong, no codes. I quess because im almost at the end of my CPO.
Most recently I noticed RPM drop when stopping, (when temperatures got even lower) and now sometimes stalling when I come to a stop.
This happens only 2, 3 times then goes away. After it fully warms up all sypmtoms go away.
I tried cleaning the throttle and maf sensors, but that didnt help. I have made another appointment next week and I hope it happens to them...
Any insight would be great...
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the tip, will plug my scanner in the morning and check the temperature reading at cold startup. I assume (if its not working correctly) it should register a higher temperature than actual outdoor temp?
If I cant figure it out, I might just replace the sensor and cross my fingers.
Thanks again for the tip

I made another appointment at a different dealer.... meanwhile...
I took your advise to check the temperature sensor(s)..
Outside Temperature 24F
After a Full Warmup (15min)
Using my scanner I found...
Engine Coolant Temperature 181F
Engine Coolant Temperature (2) 55F
I believe that sensor 2 should read close to sensor 1???
Am I safe to assume that sensor 2 is malfunctioning?
Should I just replace the sensor and cross my fingers?

So I decided to replace sensor #2 since it was reading low temperature.
According to shopkey, sensor #2 is the one in front of the engine. (I took some screen shots)
This morning, I guess the car a bit better.. however I am not 100% convinced that this solved the problem as I did notice an RPM drop and a bit of hesitation/jerking. Outside temperatures have been better, not as cold as before.
I guess I will replace the other sensor too..... that one is a bit header to reach.
Can anyone give me any pointers to see if I'm going in the right direction...??

Changed Both Sensors... still same issues.
Car will stall first one or two stops and hesitate/poor shifting until its fully warmed up.
I plugged my scanner in and now I'm getting this code
P061 A-64
?? any ideas ??
