How is the purge valve hose mounted behind engine?
During my rebuild I forgot how the line was mounted. In chasing my p0441 code, the manual says the service port on the purge valve line has to be mounted horizontally... mine just dangles on top of the bell housing. How does it go?
I think there is a clip on the back of the cylinder head. Maybe check Rovers North's diagram or Rave, I believe it says it is for the fuel hose, but it has two slots. It presses into a bolthole, like a little christmas tree plastic adapter. I didn't stick mine in there, maybe I should.....
There's a bracket on the drivers side valve cover, just behind and below the SAI tubing/check valve. It mounts horizontally on the bracket, hose comes around backside of head.
Yeah, I know where the purge valve clips in, interested in how the the purge line meets up with the fuel line on top of the bellhousing. Collie, that sounds promising, I'll look into it.. but if it goes on the cylinder head, the fuel line wouldn't go there.
Could it be the bracket that goes on the bellhousing? IIRC, those are at 3 and 9 oclock, and used for the oxygen sensor leads only. Is there a bracket at 12 o'clock? I seem to remember finding one through research, but I didn't have it when I put the engine back in
Can someone identify where these go?
