1998 range rover 4.0 purge hose
at some point in time the purge hose on my 4.0 got intentionally plugged. not sure what the impact is and where to connect it to if it is necessary. a photo of a 1998 4.0 showing the purge hose would be very helpful. if u need more info, pm me at fabbrojo@xplornet.com....thnx
Looks like a coolant hose that goes from the top of the intake manifold to a connector on the bottom side of the throttle body. Probably there to prevent the throttle from freezing up in extreme cold. Hope that helps.
the vacuum is towards the visible side of the purge hose on the diagram. but i will check to see if there is a connector on the underside of the throttle body. if i pull the plug from the purge hose, the idle jumps to apprx. 2000rpm. nothing to connect to under the throttle body. if u can offer a picture of where it connects, perhaps i can figure it out. thnx,,
