Default Shoulda put that shield back on...

Aww man, just when I thought I was out of the woods. I left out the fan shroud shield on the top and the fan blade cut a hole in the very top hose. From the bleed valve to the top of the radiator.

So does anyone know if its possible to buy just this hose at a local parts store? Is it possible to use a generic hose? I really don't want to spend $60 for the entire upper assembly.

Sucks, but at least you have a nice straight bit of hose to work with. IDK of a single replacement hose, but there is an option.

If you want to save $60 for now go to NAPA or any auto parts store and get a 1 1/4" hose repair splicer and 2 clamps. They come in kits or singles(I like the galvi steel ones) and for about $10 you are back to HAPPY TOWN!

I sucked it up and bought the hose assembly. Bleh.

I have noticed an intermittent belt squeal when cold in the morning now. Its intermittent because it sounds like a bad spot on the belt or something that only makes a noise at one portion.

I'm sure it has something to do with either removing the jockey and PAS pulleys or getting coolant on a different part I didn't spray off. After it warms up it seems to go away. Since it wasn't there before and has persisted for 2 days I have a slight concern about it.

A small belt squeal is common after an anti freeze leak, It will probably go away...

I got one of these and am still running it after an unknown number of thousand miles ( a lot).

Wasn't expecting much, but seems to work.
