Unfortunately it never happened. Very high winds and heavy rain and it's predicted for the rest of this week. I'm not competent enough to fly indoors as with my luck I'll do some damage.

Luck = Main TV blew up (was an old Sony plasma though just hanging in there), door handle/lock broke (French crap), Pajero engine injector work going badly, 3 Amigos popped up on the D2 just when I was into serious upgrades on suspension, it never ends.

Fortunately we have other TV's so the wife can watch the trash programmes on one of those. Now got to go shopping for a new TV

The wife took her Smart car for a CT (MOT Test) and the guy left all the lights on without the engine running. When he finally came back after 10-15 minutes of chatting and going for a pee he couldn't start the car because the battery was flat and said he couldn't do a CT. (to be honest he didn't know how to start a Smarty) All turned out OK in the end as the depot owner took charge before the wife 'killed' his employee for being a prat. They started the Smarty and did the CT. I tested the battery when she got home, it's fine - voltage OK and amps OK, makes you wonder what happened. The French would never admit to making an error any time.

Funny old life how everything breaks in short succession, I told the wife not to touch anything for awhile as I'm bored hearing the same line "it came off in my hands".

I fully understand. I've had a string of bad luck lately too with things going out. And just the other day, I was going to smog my DII, and all of a sudden, codes thrown! Years of no codes, now this, at this time. Looks like 02 sensors, but timing stinks... And, just as I've already spent my flexible money on other repairs, not expecting something from my rover. I guess that will teach me. ALWAYS expect something from my rover...

Hi SS, this'll make you laugh. The weather has been so taciturn that I thought I'd give the drone a go indoors. So I put it on the kitchen floor turned everything on and established comms between the handset and the drone and but before I could blink it had hit the ceiling ricocheted off the ceiling inverted itself and then hit the floor at full bore. Bearing in mind these are stone tile floors there was no damage just some scratches on the props. Test one of the drone's resilience. The wife ordered me to quit before I did any serious damage around the kitchen . So it looks like I'll have to go outside into the field and start over again. It looks like a fun toy but it's gonna take some getting used to the controls. Luckily I hadn't fitted the camera as I thought best I learn to fly it first.

Things have gone better lately and the Pajero is coming on and we've looked at some new TV's, looks like a Samsung comes out favourite at present but by no means the cheapest. Even fixed the door handle as well Should have the Pajero up and running, injector pump and starter motor back on and including a full service this coming week and I can then start on the D2 with a host of jobs that'll take a few weeks. Hope your luck has improved as well.

Thanks @OffroadFrance. Things are going well here. Just a few items that were unexpected.

Yes, flying indoors is not the way to try your first flights. You need plenty of room to allow for mistakes and jumpy thumbs when things get scary. With practice, you will be flying indoors with no problem.

I have a few flying objects that I'm able to fly inside, and it's really helpful when the weather is bad, or unexpected projects start to pile up and I need a break from reality. My living room is quite small, but I fly the AR Drone inside at times. I also have the ProtoX that is awesome for indoor flight due to being Super Small and cheap! I've also got a Blade CX that flies well indoors, and lastly, a Night Vapor Airplane that I've now mastered in tight spaces. It's not meant for this small of an area, but with practice, it will work.

Cheap is good, especially if it crashes. The only time it's not good is if it causes the crash.

I've never seen that one, but it looks like a copy of some good models out there.

YouTube:
- From Seller

- Flight Video - It appears out of control for a lot of the flight. Maybe it was windy.

- Interesting Video. Fun to watch, but I also sympathize with the homeowner.

Hi, Interesting flights SS, I think the Syma was a learner and setting up. The other guy was good but a PITA and could seriously p**s people off.

This is an interesting article by Easyjet using drones.
