Default Why I love Land Rover

My second rant of the week after watching the film "Trollhunter"

In all my years I've never seen a vehicle or manufacturer with as many variations and as utilitarian as the Land Rover, in particular the Defender series. There ALL over the world, notably found in the most remote places on earth and are a very familiar sight for most under-developed cultures in Africa, Asia and central/south America. They come in all shapes and sizes and seem to know no boundaries - they can be equipped for any situation. Found in all walks of life: rescue, law enforcement, military, exploration, safari and wildlife preservation, public tours, off road events, classic collectors - and even in our back yards (if you can afford one and according to top gear in the mid to late 90's "70% of produced Land Rovers are still on the road today... people love them!" It does not matter who you are, nor how much money you have. Land Rover does NOT discriminate against racial, religious, political alliance, finical capability or any other individuals - the one thing we all have in common "we love Land Rover!"

I like the crew cab pick up, very rare

How dose one raise the rear end that high with out braking something?

and hole hell does that one defender have enough lights I counted 12 AUX lights

My question exactly We can only speculate as to how on earth they managed those feats. For the Defender with the lights galore, I imagine he had a super-sized alternator (or a double alternator setup) or perhaps a seperate dual battery power source set up directly to the lights. The other guy with the rear end in the air... i have no idea! Bet he's got excellent suspension though

By the way if you want to see that Defender with all the lights on it, in action then watch the film "Trollhunter" it was filmed in 2010 and is available for instant streaming on Netflix.com. And the crew cap is in part, part of the RoversNorth fleet systems line: https://www.roversnorth.com/store/t-...s-preview.aspx

I would love to have this many lights on my D1, just for the soul purpose of blinding that Jerk driver who has his high beams on.

I think I may rent the movie just to check the rover out lol.
