Smile 2004 Freelander Tire replacement
The Michelin 225/55-R17 XSE "Synchrone" 4x4 is the only tire acceptable according to Land Rover USA and is the tire that is currently on the car. It is expensive. In speaking with Tirerack they also mentioned the possibilty of the Pirelli Scorpain STR or the Kumho Road Venture ATP.

Any comments very welcome!
