Default Weird problem

OK, so I have a pretty weird problem with my 96 d1 that I can not find any answers to. When I press the brake pedal my radio shuts off and my rear wiper will run. With the brake pedal depressed it will not come out of park either. Thank you for your help I really need this truck to run as it is my Daily driver.

How long has it been like this? Did you do any work to your D1 recently?

The problem only began a couple of days ago, and I have done work with my d1 but nothing electrical recently. I will definitely check the grounds

Cleaning the battery ground cable at all connections and adding a ground from batt to engine and batt to rad support fixed a lot of my issues

sounds like a ground issue behind the rear side tail lights, or in the rear doo. maybe the 3rd brake light wiring or connector since it affects the rear wiper and radio. Antennas are back there..
