I've noticed about 50% of my page loads on LRForums time out with the server never responding. Not sure if it's a traffic handling issue or it just doesn't like me, but thought I'd mention it to you. Happens on laptop and phone.

A couple of thoughts, try Safari, I have used both on my Mac and Safari works better on all the forums I over see. Might also check and see what application you can up grade to, on my 9 year old 933 Mac, I have over the years gone up to 10.582 with much better results while on-line.

Thanks for the reply. Can't stand Safari, though. It works fine on every other forum and website I'm on, it's just these forums. And it does the same thing on my phone.

Use non-Apple computers, old, new, and beatup lap top, DSL at home, and 1 gigabit (!) at the office (one of the advantages of working for a research university) - no time out problems with any of them. IE 8, various versions of Windows.
