Default Is it ok to use champion rc12yc plugs with magnecor 7mm wires

I just installed new magnecor 7mm wires on my disco 2, 2000. I used champion plugs, rc12yc and gapped them at .038. I was wondering if there were any better plugs to use that are already gapped with the magnecor wires? I noticed my disco doesn't have the same punch/power as before???? Due to champion plugs? Could it be that I gapped the plugs wrong? The champion plugs came pregapped at .032. Thanks....or should I have just left them the way they came?

Your gap is to big in my opinion.
Those plug wires and plugs are just fine.

I read somewhere that the Bosch system requires a special plug. Supposedly, the tip is smaller than a standard plug and if standard plugs are installed, they will expand the ferrule in the plug wire and than not seat properly on the proper plug. True?

False.
They use a standard plug.
They came with the Champion copper spark plugs.
