Just did 3000 highway miles on D110X with Duratrac 19”. No noise, vibrations, stiff ride, etc. But did not fly off the Grand Canyon and try to get back up. I think the tire discussions are valid only for the very serious. The tire reviews certainly don’t lead you to any specific direction. PS Got the 19” Duratrac for winter conditions which may help when climate warming dissipates. No doubt the 19’s are selection limiting, particularly if you change your tires based on the weather forecast.

Every try or look at Goodyear Adventure with Kevlar? They seem durable...? IDK why the KOs don't go to the 19" rim size: it's 18 then right to 20. I know there's not alot out there on 19s, but if they made one available, surely it would sell.

did you have issues with the factory 19"s? I think it's Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain (and then you can go and buy the same with Kevlar later on). Did those drive OK on the 19"s?

100's if not 1000's of times more vehicles on 20, 18 and 17" rims. 19 is a complete oddball size that LR uses. No strong demand for 19" tires.

You can't. Goodyear don't beef up the sidewalls with the second layer of Kevlar and steel in the LR sizes. Lightweight and thin sidewalls are the go in the OEM

Snow tires. Good luck finding any in 19" . They exist but are few.

A/T it's Duratrac or..... well that's it. The Goodyear Adventure is a highway tire in all but name and very suitable for many if not most users. The new KO3. No 19" sizing despite lots of optimistic reports to the contrary.

M/T none in 19"

I'm pretty sure this dead horse has been beaten all the way to Dante's 7th level in this thread.
Choices. If you like having them, the 19"s are a no.

19" is a dog, only LR and Jeep are using them too it looks like. I sold Good Years AT to a Jeep guy who need them for lease return.
Size sucks...Stock AT also bad.

They're fine. Ride quality and handlng is perfect both offroad and on the motorway.

Kinda soft, I have lost two to rocks in the middle of the tread. Looks like 20K miles or so it's time to look.

I'm still on my 20" OEM Goodyears at 40,000 and they're great. But I have another set of wheels and tires (18") for all my off-roading of any merit, and I will sometimes (like right now) leave the Coopers on there even when I don't have an offroading trip planned. They've been on since a trip to Utah the first week of March and I haven't bothered taking them off.

now that you've driven the 19"s for a few years, have you tried the Goodyears with Kevlar? If so, how'd they go? or the Goodyear Duratrac? I'm in the same boat as you: I think the bigger sidewall on the 19" is going to be a better driver and a bit more protection from flats when I hit stuff. But interested in your actual experience with the 19"s...

were those the ones with Kevlar that you lost to rocks?! I have read the OEMs are soft; but aftermarket you can go with the Adventures with Kevlar, or the Duratrac. Did you try either of those?

I know that I will be out of the crappy OEM BFG tires as soon as I can. I have had two flats from rocks in the tread on rear tires. Both tires were replaced.

There's a 4 mile stretch of NC-197 below my home headed into Buncombe county (Asheville), and both times I picked up a stone driven through the center of the tread.
The Octa on 255/65R/19!!! Well that would be great news, but.... Although that would help tire companies make tires for 19" rims, why wouldn't JLR just use the 20" rim that seems to be most common on every other Defender trim? How good is your source?
